Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, was born on November 20, 1957, in Otuoke, a riverine community in present-day Bayelsa State. The son of a canoe-maker, he grew up walking miles to school without shoes — a humble beginning that would shape a presidency defined by empathy, patience, and quiet strength.
